Mission

At Nurture and Build, our mission is to empower children and families through early childhood developmental care. We believe in a strengths-based approach, focusing on the unique abilities and potential of each child.

Being family-centered, we strive to create a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters growth and promotes progress. Together, we lay the foundation for successful outcomes by investing in the critical early childhood years.

Let's inspire, nurture and build brighter futures!

Why 'Nurture and Build'?

'Nurture' focuses on fostering relationships and prioritising human connection. It involves investing time and effort into building trust and rapport. Complementing that, 'build' is centred around developing skills and building capacity. It's about creating a strong foundation that can support growth and progress.

In order to best support a child, it's important to both nurture the relationship between the family, child and therapist, while also building the capacity within the family and greater community to provide ongoing support and care.

Best Practice

Best practice recognises that children learn and develop in natural, everyday settings. These include their home, childcare, playgroup or school, where they play with family or friends. This means the adults they are with need information, tools and support to help the child’s development and participation.

Being included in these everyday activities gives children with developmental delay or disability the same opportunities as all children. It provides them with occasions to develop friendships, interact with others and be a part of their community. Best practice not only involves broad early childhood intervention research, but also evidence relating to the needs of children with a specific diagnosis, such as autism spectrum disorder or cerebral palsy.
